Prominent
figures in both parties are criticizing President Donald Trump for Saturday’s
abrupt withdrawal from a G-7 agreement. That breaks with the tradition, long
observed by Washington’s political class, that politics should end at the
water’s edge while the president is abroad.
And
it’s not just criticism. Some officials and commentators, including former
CIA director John Brennan and Sen. John McCain, are addressing foreign
nations directly to say that Trump doesn’t speak for all Americans. (NBC)
