JOIN US AT THE GOLDEN GLASS
Sunday June 8, 2008 Fort Mason’s Festival Pavilion Slow wines from around the globe, paired with savory delights from Bay Area

San Francisco, CA Slow Food San Francisco is busily preparing for its annual fundraiser, The Golden Glass wine & food event. June 8th 2008 will mark the 5th anniversary of this popular Slow Food event.

Previously an Italian-only wine event, the Golden Glass 2008 will expand to highlight the most exciting sustainable & terroir expressive wines imported into the Bay Area. Over 100 wineries from New Zealand, Spain, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Chile, France, Germany, and of course, Italy, will be pouring samples. The wines will be more than amply complemented by savory delights and sweet treats from the Bay Area’s top restaurants and artisans. Wine seminars will feature topics of Italian regionality & New Zealand’s industry-wide promise of 100% sustainable winegrowing.

The Golden Glass Wine Event, is organized by the team at Slow Food San Francisco, under the direction of Lorenzo Scarpone, convivium leader and founder of the first Slow Food convivium in the United States. Proceeds will benefit the new Slow Food San Francisco School Garden Project and Slow Food USA’s ‘Art of Taste’ program.
