LOS ANGELES -- Chaos briefly reigned on a 12-lane freeway east of Los Angeles Sunday when a motorcyclist dropped a canvas bag full of cash on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway, and some motorists stopped in 65 mph traffic to grab fluttering bills.
Traffic was halted on the eastbound freeway near Garfield Avenue when the bills began blowing around, California Highway Patrol officers said.
According to CHP Officer Anthony Martin, a motorcyclist dropped a computer bag full of cash on the eastbound freeway at Garfield Avenue, about five miles east of the Los Angeles Civic Center.
