Buttigieg addressed a now-viral video in which an Iowa voter says she won't
support the former South Bend, Indiana, mayor for president after finding out
he's gay.
Buttigieg told NBC's "Meet the Press" that "I'm running to be her president, too."
Addressing the historic nature of his candidacy, he said later that "I
didn't set out to be the gay president, but certainly seeing what this means
is ... really powerful."
