The
road-trip drama "Green Book" won best picture at the 91st Academy
Awards on Sunday — edging out top competitors like "Roma" and
"Black Panther."
The
film's victory came as a surprise on a night filled with historic wins for
diversity and representation, including Spike Lee's first Oscar for
co-writing the adapted screenplay for the fiery docudrama
"BlacKkKlansman."
The
acting awards went to Rami Malek for “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Olivia Colman for
"The Favourite," Mahershala Ali for “Green Book” and Regina King
for “If Beale Street Could Talk.
